Autumn News

Brian Freeman, our Marquetry expert, who volunteers every Wednesday at Trinity Work Skills; has donated the £20 fee he received for his expenses when he gave a talk and demonstration locally. Our window cleaner, Ian Rayner, came in to meet the Committee, to present us with £208.45, which he had raised through a sponsored hair cut!  Ian is profoundly deaf so he knows what it’s like to live with a permanent disability.

The Friends of Trinity Skills for Life have received a donation of £200 from the Stone Festival Committee once more and are happy for it to be spent on an enameling kiln so that students  can learn more skills.

The Farmers Market stall on Saturday 1st October was our best ever! We raised £234.50 from the sale of wood, glass and cards. We were greatly helped by the weather and the Food and Drink Festival which brought so many new customers into Stone. The next one will be on November 5th, so please let Janet know if you would like to help out.

We want to thank the Directors for continuing to donate £50 each month to our funds. We have decided to save it and to pay for a day’s activity at Beaudesert again next year.

We link into the work of the Friends of Trinity Skills for Life, and Keith, the Chairperson, attends our Committee Meeting each week to give us practical support and encouragement. The Friends meet together every few months and do their very best to support the students as well as parents and carers. They would like to invite you all to their next committee meeting on Thursday 1st December; 6.30 at Summerfield Court, Altona Close, Stone.

If you would like to take part in the yoga classes please contact Janet 01785 811170 or email janet.mmason@yahoo.co.uk

The Christmas disco will be held at Unit 2b on Saturday December 10th from 7 to 10 pm. We hope that you will all do your best to support us. As always it will be just £3.00 with refreshments on sale.
